OK, so I may not have a lawyer, or a doctor or any airline employees in the family to mooch off of, but we do have VERY generous cousins with extremely good taste who lent us their luxurious beach house for the Memorial Day weekend.
We met up with Carrie and Todd (who are in CT for the summer) and Spencer and Sho ("met up with" might not work for them since they live 25 minutes from us and we rode together.) Nevertheless, it was so fun to be with family family family that I love and miss and have so much fun with. We took to the road and convened in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Beautiful, gorgeous, wish you were here.
Without further adieu, I give you my brief "facebook explanation" (or if you prefer, "the longest run-on-sentence-known-to-man".)
I told you I could write one heck of a run-on sentence.
Thank you Worthington's a million times over. It was amazing, luxuriant, comfortable, relaxing and wonderful but we missed your gorgeous faces and fun fun that you bring everywhere you go!
Thank you!!

We took our meals on the porch,
crossed the street to the beach after posing like the dorks that we all are deep, down inside, (this is us all white and pasty on our first day)
took pictures of kids that looked so darn cute I couldn't stand it,
played with sisters on the beach,
made sand angels,
excavated,
ran around squealing and having the cutest little bums in a swimsuit known to man,
hopped some waves,
dreamed a little,
rode bikes into town and anywhere else we could (the family bike rides were my favorite),
ate like the locals do,
fished, a lot,
stared at the house and wondered where we could hide and live year round so the cousins wouldn't know,
caught lots of fish in the tiniest pond ever using nothing but hot dogs and ground beef (and maybe other little fish that were caught first and then thrown back immediately to catch the bigger one,
ran a couple of times and then passed out on the grass just a little until my song was over,
enjoyed watching the girls be lovely with each other (for most of the time),
colored with crabs,
made our toes sooo pretty,
walked the boardwalk eating shaved ice and any other treat with the word "ice" in it,
enjoyed warm air, cool breezes and flip flops,
played games,
endured horrid traffic on the way home with as many electronic devices as possible,
and lazed about as much as possible watching movies, reading books and staring into nothingness.
It was pure joy.I told you I could write one heck of a run-on sentence.

I am usually not the jealous type. But I'm making an exception right now. I wish I could have been there!! What fuuuuun!
It sounds like the perfect remedy to your previous post. It sounds like heaven on earth, especially because you had so much family together.
Yep, wish I were there too. My Memorial Day consisted of feeling sick and taking a four hour nap, which would have been heaven if I were taking it because I wanted to and not because my body was trying to cope with a sore throat and a headache from the underworld. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. I'm glad your holiday was fabulous.
I WANNA COME TOOOO!
It looks and sounds like Heaven on Earth. Boo hoo.
Take me! Take me! Sigh, I wish I had been there, too. Sigh again. Perfection.
Beautiful pictures....question for you...
Was the water warm enough to swim in?? We are thinking of going there but heard it was still too cold? I figure coming from MN and my kids swimming in lakes that the cold wouldn't matter, but others beg to differ?
Sounds amazing! I love the picture of Hazel "excavating." Those two little feet straight up in the air is awesome!
Love the title and am oh so jealous of your run-on sentence that was nearly long enough. What an amazing vacation! Beautiful. I'm glad you got to go.
You are so lucky! Great pics...the one with Hazel excavating is a crack up. My husband and I just had "the talk" that we probably won't be taking a beach vacation this summer...now I wanna go more than ever. There is just something about the beach. Glad you got to go...it seemed to come just when you needed it, judging from your last post. But, I think it is great that you share the ups and the downs of family life. Glad you got to revel in one big fat "UP"!
I want to go. So fun!!! Glad the weather was nice for you:)
I have just become extremely homesick for the Atlantic Ocean.
I declare you are an exceptionally talented blogger! I've said before that I want to be part of the blogging party...but I stand intimidated by the crisp photos and clever verbiage of the Oscarson girl blog world! Thanks for sharing the details of your trip...I love that you loved it! Come back!
Wow. And wow. That blog was like a work of fiction describing what my absolute perfect vacation would look like/feel like/sound like/taste like. Complete with siblings, darling nieces and nephews, bike rides, crab, beach, sun...wow. Am I getting carried away? So glad you had such a lovely, lovely time!
A little piece of Heaven!
