I feel appropriately organized with printouts, lists and schedules....with plenty of room to do nothing at all if we want. We have been busy and though I may have had a moment or two of panic when I thought about all of them home all day every day, I am thoroughly enjoying my children.

Fourth of July BBQ with friends. Their house is comfortable and charming, the food delicious, the yard a dream, and the company delightful.
Our neighborhood does an annual Fourth of July parade down the street with all the kids. They even have a fire engine come lead our parade. Adorable kids, ain't they?
Hazel had a pudding pop and rather enjoyed it.
Some days at our house, lunch is anything you can fit on your plate. This is Abby's from a few days ago: a rice cake, muddy buddies, juice and cheetos with ketchup. I think I see an actual food group represented there.
Clark instructed and the girls built our picnic table. I was quite impressed. They used the electric drill and everything.
Mia learned how to cross her eyes. Very exciting.
Walks, walks and more walks...mixed in with a bike ride or two, or three, or more.
We like them plenty tuckered out by dinnertime. Tsk tsk. She didn't even finish her broccoli.
And I managed to feel somewhat finished with Haley's new room. She has been sleeping there for a while now but we finally got up some finishing touches. I would take a picture of our new office space/bedroom but I haven't finished finding places for all those papers yet...I thought blogging about the mess would be a better use of my time.

I LOVE Haley's new room! It is as darling as can be! LOVE. And I love Hazel asleep in her chair. And that your girls look to make up exactly half of "the neighborhood kids." Adorable.
I really really like the new room. The birds on the wall are genius! Great work. And the mess... well, the mess is only there until you clean it up, but a blog, that you have forever.
Summer sounds delightful at your house! And I love the new room. Wish you could give me a few pointers..I am so bad at decorating, but wish I was good!

Cute, Cute room. I love Summer, but Colorado is nuts because we go back in the middle of August and it makes me sad. While I am typing this, I am thinking we better get busy doing all the stuff we said we were going to do this summer like camping, visiting the musuem,....

I have braid envy. I see all your girls fun braids from the back and feel very uncapable. I have this weird brain fart about french braids and for some reason just believe I can't do it. (I know.. I know.. everyone says it's SO easy. I'm sorry.. but I tend to disagree.)Oh.. and the hammer stuck in the belt is great. I truly believe I would thouroughly enjoy your little ones immensely if I EVER get to hang with them.

You know Katy, we accept any visitors at any time. I would even teach you to do french braids (heck, Clark knows how to french braid, if he can do it, you totally can.) You could even sleep in the new "bird room".

We have been doing a daily schedule this summer, too. It has worked wonderfully. And it must be pretty similar to yours since we keep running into each other!
Love the bedroom. Except the guilt that we've lived here a year and I have spent 0 effort in decorating any of the bedrooms.

cute bedspread, where is it from? AJ crosses her eyes and i have a love/hate relationship with it. makes me laugh and cringe. we had cookies and pop tarts for for lunch the other day. the kids thought it was so cool.
Hm, you know I hate to admit it, but Walmart has some dang cute stuff.
I can't believe that's from Walmart. First of all you hate Walmart. 2nd, it looks like it must have been internet purchased material that you whipped into a comforter.
I would be SO jealous that I'm not there to hang with you but you sound as busy as you were in the school year - and from what I've heard, you've had to use your rain idea practically every day. Did you know there is a sun out west?
