doesn't that stink about being the mom! if you don't clean it, it's not just magically going to disappear. now if only i could get jake to understand...
Instead of cleaning I usually chose to look at people's facebook pages or read people's blogs. As Scarlett O'Hara always said, "Fiddle-dee-dee, I'll just think about it tomorrow."
Ok, seriously, if you want a pity party, you need to take better pictures than that. All that bathroom clutter goes in the same drawer, there are only 3 things on your kitchen counter, I know you'll just throw all those dishes in the dishwasher, you don't have to make your bed if there's a sick baby in it. The only real problem I see is that your sewing table is cleared off. If you want Monday morning pity, I need to see toys strewn down the hall, kids clothes out of their dresser for the 4th time that day and a kitchen counter filled with 100 things that belong who knows where. A diaper bag, a church bag and a blankie just don't cut it Sister.
I totally feel your pain except for one thing. While there may be a few things out of place, I can tell your house is actually very clean. It is like looking at an object sitting on top of a very clean room. My bathroom and kitchen are so gross that I wouldn't DARE post a picture because I'm positive they would come get my kids and shut my house down! But I also hate Mondays...nothing gets down and I'm exhausted by 10:00 a.m.
I think my new life motto will be "I'll let it sit for another or so...it's not going anywhere". That totally made my day. You summarize life as a mom so well and it always makes me smile that we signed up for this.
Thanks for making us all realize, that yes...other people have those days too! Sometimes when my house looks like that, I think I must be the only one in the world.

Wow that looks familiar--except you have cuter laundry baskets than I do.
I feel terrible for you but in a sick way it makes me feel better. So many of my mornings look like yours.
Good luck!
