I have been joking for weeks now that if I ever got to ride my bike actually outside in training for this triathlon, that Hazel would act as my drag. And today, she did.
Fact: It was a lovely day.
Fact: Riding outside is way more interesting than riding a bike that doesn't go anywhere.
Fact: Riding a bike outside is harder than inside.
Fact: A bug flew into my eye.
Fact: I sang very loudly to my ipod while riding along a busy road (when I wasn't huffing up a hill.)
Fact: Hazel weighs at least 30 pounds.
Assumption: I will be able to shave time off when she and her seat are not strapped to my bike.
Fact: I need more padding. Sitting doesn't feel good anymore.
2 weeks and counting...

Two Weeks!! Aahhh! That is coming so soon. I don't know why I am nervous. I just get to sit here eating potato chips and reading about your fabulous accomplishment.
I'll say it again, you are such a fun mom! I wish I were growing up in your house right now, or at least able to implement some of your style into my parenting! So fun. Are those matching helmets? Ah! So fun!
You can do it! You can do it! What a dang cute little weight behind you! I see bare road and grass in your pic! It snowed here yesterday and I have to put my boots back on this morning to go to the temple. Sigh.
Oooh yeah bicycle butt. Seriously doesn't feel good. And wow, a triathalon! So awesome of you! And may I just say too that I'm in total awe of the coolness, creativity, and just overall cuteness of your family. I'm so glad I can reach out and touch you through cyberspace.
what a good place you are in--working out, working toward a goal--heck, pushing yourself physcally at all...I'm totally impressed. Plus everyone is potty trained and no one is old enough to date yet. I don't have a lot of experience, but something tells me you should hold onto this phase. Cherish it. Now if you'll excuse me, my baby smells so strongly of beef vegetable baby food that we need a wardrobe change.
A triathlon huh? What a woman! :) You and Kris are putting me to shame, all I've been doing is sitting on my can eating ice cream and playing tiddlywinks. :)
I am excited for you and your upcoming race!!!!!
I took Joseph and Matthew one time in our bike trailer. Because I am not that strong. After that I made Peter do it.
