Dude.

Last night I sewed a scrunchy.
It is neon green.
And I bought leg warmers.
I am going to an 80's themed Navy function this weekend...and I cannot wait to let my 80's shine.  Those years spent idolizing my teenage sister and cousins...the blue eye shadow, the big bangs and frosty lipstick.
You just wait.
I'm steppin out in my "Goonies never say die t-shirt" and I'm gonna have a good time.
I may just party like it's 1999.

I bet you will look like sooo totally radical!

ps. Madeline got very upset yesterday because she couldn't find the gold pants. She actually said that she wasn't going to school without the gold pant! Thank you for your fashion legacy.

pps. Did I seriously not comment on Clarkie boy getting pinned? There's that lameness again. Clark is amazing for doing what's he's doing. Thank him for his sacrifice.

ppps. Oh yeah, and you think you're special because of your snowstorm. Well, we had a snowstorm of our own, yesterday. Take that, New England! Even Texas can snow.

Please...for those of us who actually grew up and lived the 80s...include a picture. I can't wait!

I'm waiting for a picture too. By the way, I LOVE the Goonies. Hey, you could do the truffle shuffle or whatever it's called!

This weekend it's YOUR time. It's YOUR TIME this weekend...Some rather excellent writing in Goonies, I tell ya. Go all Cindy Lauper on them, will ya?
And yes on those pictures...yes.

Thanks...now I'm going to be humming "girls just wanna have fun" all night!

The 80's were amazing! I was so in tune with the 80's...been a little out of sync since then.

Pictures please!

The sad thing is that you could find leg warmers in the store. Are the 80's really actually dead, because I could have sworn I saw some teenagers that looked just like the outfit you're describing! :)

FUN TIMES. I agree with one of them comments above...I was just in Kohls and saw 80's everywhere. T-shirt dresses, big denim boyfriend t-shirts (more 90's) and tight shirts with gold jewelry dangling from the shoulders. I even saw shoulder pads. It was lovely....
