Move over Clark, there's a new love in my life.

I think I am in love.  This was my late Christmas present to myself (and while we're at it, can I just say that this year Clark and I are going to push Christmas back a month so we can take advantage of all the crazy sales out there after the holidays? It just seems like a better idea.)
She needs a name.  I want to stroke her.  She is amazing and I love her.  She has been staying in her box between uses because I don't currently have a proper shrine, er, place to put her.  (My only priorities for our next house will be a bigger, brighter kitchen and a place to call my own...I don't care if the rest of the house only has an outhouse and a hand pumped well, I will have those things.) Since Clark stole my camera, this picture will have to do.

It cuts out paper, vinyl and fabric.  Give me a month and everything in my house that doesn't move will be properly labeled with adorable vinyl lettering...maybe the stuff that moves too.
Is this Heaven?
Now, I just need a good project...anyone need anything cut out?

And while we're not on the subject, let me share why rag curlers on a baby is not always a good idea.   Naturally with four little girls we like to gussy up from time to time...and since church is even later than it was last year, we have extra time for gussying.  Many times on Saturday night I will put the girls' hair up in sponge or rag curlers after their baths/showers.  And though I don't condone regular infant-primping, we did Hazel's too.
(I would like you to note the line of whispy bangs on her forehead...for posterity's sake I would like to point out how very grateful I am for thick headed daughters...however, the manner in which it grows in, a single layer in front of the other one at a time, not so much.)
Before:

After:

First I laughed.  Then I panicked trying to figure out exactly what to do with it...then I laughed again.  Two pigtails and a headband later it looked rather cute.
And then we may have laughed some more. (I especially like Haley's absent stare in this picture while giving the rabbit ears, and Abby's groggy just woke up face in the background...in about 10 more years the experience of getting so many girls ready for church will be quite an event, I'm sure.)

I need to know how to use those rag curlers. Are they as simple as they seem?

And you've inspired me, I am going to pull out my Silhouette this week and start using it again.

We have 9 am church this year, so it is back to pony tails and hoping I get dressed before we all head out the door. Good thing Pearl won't need much gussying for a while yet.

BTW, my mother-in-law gave me a Cricut like a week ago, but I can't bear to get it out with all of its accessories because it seems like a big project to get out right before a baby. This is indeed another reason why you need to come back to Utah to visit. You could show me how to use the thing and then I could love it like you do.

I can't stop laughing out loud...I don't know if it is the puff of hair on a toddler making me laugh or her blank stare. That is hilarious! But I'm sure it had a most darling ending...

I'm so jealous of your new house member. I've wanted one so badly for so long...will you just cut me something out and surprise me? Anything...go ahead...surprise me!

I can't stop laughing. She looks like Harpo Marx! Just give her a horn and top hat. Are your girls really thick-headed? That's a funny thing to say about your own offspring. Just kiddin' ya. I know you meant they have thick hair--just like their mom. I have Cricket-envy. That's on my list of things to buy first when I get home...right after soft toilet paper and Aim toothpaste, that is. So show us some fun things!

Mo, I should send my edits off to you first...I did indeed mean thick-"haired"...and where would I have been on my post about phylacteries at Walmart? I need you!

Do it again! Do it again! It's about the best EVER. And I'm still disappointed that I don't get to cuddle her this weekend. I could use a sweet Scharman girl fix.

Oh, and I'll be putting together my order for Casandra Cricut. You might want to keep her in prime condition...

Wow. She has a lot of hair! Soooo cute! This picture is destined to be shown sometime close to Hazel's wedding. Perfect for a roast.

please post some of your projects! I too saw the cricut for a great deal right after Christmas and was slightly tempted but couldn't justify it because I haven't scrap booked in years and I couldn't really think of what I would do with it specifically... just knew that I really wanted it. If I could figure out some projects that I would actually do then maybe I would feel better about getting one....after next Christmas of course.

Oh, I'm laughing so hard. She looks like, "Mom? Seriously?" Oh it's too cute. I simply dread having girls of my own that want me to do their hair. I'll have to send them to your house.

So funny/cute. Can we say her hair takes well to curling? I have a project!!! I came across a saying in a Dove wrapper-oops!- and i thought, "Oh, need to frame it and put it on my wall!" Just ask me. Love you!

"Tomorrow, tomorrow! I love ya, Tomorrow!"... can you get her to learn that song? Then she'll be a shoe-in for the next Annie.

There is nothing you could do to that child that would make her not cute! *Kisses!*

Once, when I was 24, I thought "hey, I used to use sponge curlers, I'll give it a go..." I looked crazy ridiculous. I put it in a huge pony tail and went to school (I didn't have time to wash it out). I was a TA for a class of over 300 and they knew I was engaged and everyone asked if I was having my bridal portraits done. I looked crazy, why would I want my picture taken? Every once in a while I still try sponge curlers. My memory is short.
