Yummmm, did you get some fresh-pressed cider? That is New England in the Fall at its best! We had apple crisp made from apples from Carrie and Todd's own trees last night. It was so good I ate it again for breakfast this morning. Hey, it's fruit and oatmeal...that's healthy, right?
That looks like so much fun! We were out in the garden today, and S. said, "Yea, it's fall, now we will have lots of food in the house!" I guess I need to grocery shopping on a more regular basis. And apple crisp does sound heavenly right now...with a scoop of real vanilla ice cream!
according to my sister (who seems to know about this sort of thing) an apple a day keeps bad breath away, the kind caused by one's stomach, not the kind caused by eating garlic or lack of flossing... just sharing the facts.

How fun!! I have a great recipe for apple crisp but instead of the normal "crisp" topping you use gingerbread. It is really yummy.
Looks delightful! try getting out the ol dehydrator and making fruit leather and dried apples. then they can last forever.
