I love it!! I hope my kids grow up on Princess Bride also. Your girls are adorable by the way. I saw your Christmas card on Sarah's fridge and it is gorgeous!
I wish I could say that wasn't the peak of both actors' careers...he's never been likeable to me since. In fact, I really like him in the beginning when he was shy and subservient.
I've been wanting to comment on the picture at the top of the page. That is the perfect mom picture. Sitting calmy with room for all on her lap, reading a story, peaceful happy kids. From the picture you can also almost smell some homemade bread or cookies baking in the background.
At first I thought your girl's were saying, "ass," which was also funny to me. I wondered, "What movie are they watching?" I remember when my brother Richard was around age five. He told Jared, "Jared, you are an ass. I heard that on the Back to the Future movie." I laughed pretty hard. If my son were to watch a movie, that's the kind of word he would pick up on. I am glad that your kids are enjoying a good movie.
I too am a big fan of this movie. I remember seeing it together with my family on Christmas Eve the year it came out. My mom was laughing for days over the priest saying "Mawrrege"
Ahhh, good times. It doesn't seem like they make good movies like that anymore.
Ohhh. I just remembered that we have it on DVD and haven't watched it yet! I think my girls would love it too! That is so funny they act out movies. Mine have been acting out the 12 Dancing Princesses-- lines, music, dancing....I really truly am getting tired of it, so I will have to wean them off and let them see Princess Bride. My favorite line, "I'm NOT a witch! I'm your WIFE!!!"
Hey, EWBL, you can't say "Have fun stormin' the castle" without the follow up, "think it'll woirk? It'd take a miracle!" One of my personal favs, "unemployed in Greenland!" and the ever popular "I love a little mlt--mutton lettuce and tomatoe, where the mutton is nice and lean....." okay, all of billy crystal's lines are funny, take your pick unless you're mostly dead.

Your kids are sweet, emma. My kids love that movie too, but they act out the following scenes.
"My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die!"
....and everyone's favorite
"Have fun storming the castle!"
We grow these here kids differently at the Infidel house.
Let's all share our favorite Princess Bride line!
"You wiggled your finger, that's wonderful!"
and
"Sleep well and dream of large women."
I agree. A very good movie. My favorite is Inigo Mantoya.
