Hazel Christina
Slideshows bring me true joy on birthdays. I like to sit and openly weep at how fast time goes and how adorably wonderful my children are. Then I make other people watch them too.
I am feeling only slightly guilty that on her birthday I decided to post all about myself....but as was pointed out in my defense, I didn't have the full photographical documentation of her special day to post it just yet. But now I do.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAZEL!!
Little Hazey Bazey, Basil, little sister. I almost feel guilty posting how wonderful you are because you are the only one that didn't make me want to tear my hair out this morning. I never want to send you to school because I love having you around. You are easy going and happy. You are silly silly SILLY and funny. You keep me entertained and will give a hug or kiss whenever someone needs it.
Happy 3rd birthday my littlest little.
Presents from near...
and far.
A little birthday grocery shopping...what? that's a thing.
She wanted a bike cake and being the not-so-into-fun-cake-maker that I am, this is the best I could come up with.
Is it obvious when Spencer and his picture taking skilzz showed up?
Everyone needs goggles for the bath, don't they?
She spent a good portion of the day singing "you look like a monkey, and you smell like one too" to herself.
Her birthday started and ended with a song and some candles.
And she was happy.

If you wanted to make this grandma experience the ultimate homesickness for her grandchildren and give her a true sense of just how much she is missing out on their lives what would you do? Oh yeah, make a 13 and a half minute slide show of the cutest bunch of girls east of the Mississippi River! Thanks a bunch! Oh how I miss Hazie and being there on her big 3 day! Give her a big hug from us and then eat a few Bilar! Happy birthday Hazel!
What a sweet, pretty girl, and a lot of fun too! You are such a loving mother, despite the moments you feel like pulling out your hair. I loved the slide show and the bicycle cake must be because of your biking together, no? I am impressed. The Carpenters always makes me cry.
She is so cute! That looks like a fun party!
Now THAT is the kind of post I had in mind for Alice. :) But if I remember correctly, she gave me warm fuzzies when she was 2 and 3. I'm sure Hazy will be nothing but a delight on her 4th birthday. :)
Happy belated birthday, darling Hazel!
I REALLY like her FACE.
You never cease to delight..,
Wow. (Wiping a tear) That was some tribute to Hazel Basil. (Wiping another tear) I hope you know it kills me to be so far away and not part of her every day life. (Too many tears to wipe) And I want to be her favorite aunt...or maybe if I wanted that I would have sent her a gift in the mail to secure my place. (Drowning in my own tears) I adore your little girl. ADORE HER! Happy birthday sweet Hazel. Can I still be your favorite?
The video wouldn't work for me after 4:18. Boo.
LOVE the pictures though. What a lucky girl. She was such a little bird after birth, and I could hardly believe how old and big girl she looked in the pictures! sniff. Happy day to H!
Happy 3rd Birthday darling Hazel! How are they getting so old, so fast, you certainly aren't!
Heavens, I found your blog when you were pregnant with Hazel. Has it really already been three years of fabulous laughs and late nights reading your blog.
She is so sweet. Some day I will meet your littlest little.
Hazel is really three? Holy cow, that went fast. Happy birthday Hazel!
