Today's chuckle...

is brought to us by Abigail. Today at school they celebrated the 100th day of the school year. Whether or not that includes the million snow days, I am not sure....in order to find that out I would have to sit with a calendar and actually count to 100...and who really wants to do that? After all, at any given time during the day all I have to do is make the subtle suggestion and any one of my kids will count to 100, willingly, again and again, and again. I'll just take their word for it that today was indeed, the 100th day of school.
Anyway, Abby came home with this little book that she had filled out and the last page struck me as funny.
The random pages of fill-in-the blanks included:
(Abby's fill-ins are in italics.)

I can eat 100 ies crems. (ice creams)
I could never eat 100
crakrs. (crackers)
I wish I had 100
graps. (grapes)
Having 100
cats could really be a problem.

At least it puts to rest my fear that Abby was destined to mature from amateur junior hoarder to grown, lonely cat woman.

So funny. On my Kaylee's hundredth day, they got to wear one hundred things. Kaylee glued one hundred beads on her shirt. She loves that shirt.

I wondered if it included the snow days, too. Ant which way, I was panicked last night when I remembered Kirsti needed to bring in 100 things for school. Thank heavens for marbles.

I think you should try for 100 kids. That could be fun.

My kids did the 100th day last week, if that means anything to you.
All I remember was telling my husband that he had to glue 100 things to a poster before he sent his daughter off to school (I was gone that morning). He did a good job being the mom that morning.

Does she know that 75 cats are also a problem? or 50? or 10, for that matter?

Grapes and ice cream are in-yeh! Cats are out-yeh! We will debate the crackers. Love you Abby!

100 cats would in no doubt be a problem. What a wise girl!

Matthew carefully counted out 100 white chocolate chips to take to school with him. Who has the patience to do that?? And he wrote the best part of the first 100 days of school was recess. It is what I expected...I mean, who admits they really like math or reading or science??

And does Abby not like crackers??

100 kids! That's even better than 12!

I think ONE cat is a problem.

Why have I never heard of 100 day?
