Tornados, Ruby Slippers and flying monkeys, oh my!...
Clark took me on a fun date last night to see a show. We left the crazy one in charge of the kiddos, as usual, and she sent us off to enjoy an evening as adults. *I say crazy in the most affectionate of terms, and you have to read her blog to truly understand my name calling...though I'm sure the crazy in all of us can relate.
In any case, I got to curl my hair and actually put on makeup. I even wore snazzy jewelry and heels to truly feel like a girl on my date. I took a quick nap (unintentionally of course) on our way downtown and when we arrived I was refreshed and ready to go! We ate at a delicious Peruvian Restaurant next to the theatre on the balcony and enjoyed the mild Houston Spring weather. We had crispy plantains dipped in who knows what but it was yummy. We did the 'ole swappy swappy with our salmon and churassco, again with some crazy unidentified signature sauces that were de-licious...we finished off with cheesecake and some layered thingy with lots of chocolate and fresh raspberry sauce (I should have been a food critic). We arrived in our seats with a few moments to spare and enjoyed checking out the stage and scenery. The show was fantastic. We've been listening to the music for months (courtesy of my sister Amy's birthday present last year)and we were not disappointed. We had a wicked good time.

HOw fun!. NIce after a Trek right?
It was so fun...and try not to be distracted by the look on Clark's face...we were debating over whether or not to take the mini van, his car without A/C or Abby's car...
You look wicked good...You clean up nice! It sounds like you had so much fun! Hooray for night's out!
how do you decide to eat out at a peruvian rest.?
i'm so jealous! i wanted to see that so bad! oh well- i'm glad you had fun!
how fun fer you! isnt that a good show? we liked it too. we need chat. i want the full trek and wicked report.
Ah Fiyero--are you so in love too?
Totally jealous. I had 2 chances to see it, but alas, I have been too sick to even want to go. Maybe next time it's in town. Glad you had a good time!!
I am very glad that you explained Clark's expression. Actually, I wasn't too taken aback by it. If Rob were going to Wicked AND I made him take a picture, we would be making the exact same face!
Jealous jealous jealous! Wicked is my favorite! I'm green with jealousy. Isn't it fun to go on a date now and again... you actually fix your hair nice and put on makeup and it feels really special. :)
I am SO SO SO glad you got to see it! Taking Waverly to see it when it came to town was one of the highlights of my life ... is that pathetic? But I mean it! Maybe I need to get out more.
We went to the show about a week ago and loved it! It was so fun to go out with just the hubby and see such a fun show!!!
Remember when you lived in Boston and we visited you there. You and the crazy one taught me to call everything "wicked" because it was a Boston thing to do, and your dad kept getting mad at us. That was funny.
Oh Dad, he can be wicked weird sometimes...good times, good times...
You look so fancy and pretty! I love, love, love a good musical. It makes me want to sing and dance in a glittery costume for days after. What a fabulous evening o'love!
I loved this show too, I'm so glad you had a chance to go. And by the way, your girls are so cute it makes me want to cry!
Oh my goodness- that was the best show ever! Joe and I saw it in Hartford last year I think and it was soooo good. At first Joe was skeptical, you know... being manly and everything- but then he was like- this is so good...
we even made an agreement to go to less movies and save the $ for awesome shows like these!
(sorry for all the comments- but come on... like i'm really going to remember to say these things to you at church?!?!)
