Iguana be in pictures!

My family has long been living our lives in movies. I still have memories of our first movie closet in St. Louis- an entire walk in closet off the family room with shelves and shelves of VHS tapes. Princess Bride, Swiss Family Robinson, Flight of the Navigator, Tron...all the classics of the 80's. Our family loves to stay at home and watch a movie or go out and catch a flick (which we've even been known to do on Christmas Day!) One drastic side effect, I'm afraid, is that most of our dialogue revolves around movie quotes. Hey, if you don't know what to say, use a pre-fabricated response! Sometimes it doesn't even have anything to do with what we are talking about and yet, it still fits.
Here are some of my favorites that I use on a regular basis. We'll see how well you know your movies. (And Abby Jean and Spencer don't count...they know all of these.)
"How many fingers does Mrs. Claus have?"
"E-leven"
"It's crap, get it off the wall"

"Where have you taken us Philipe?"

"Paul, where are you? I need a cigarette!" (I don't use this one but Abby Jean does and it makes me laugh every time.

"Curse you aqua-scum!" (this one you can use in leu of a curse word or anytime you are upset)

"Jan Levingston I presume"

More to come as my feeble mind can recall....(brain capacity is sparse these days...)

I don't know any of them except the last one. My husband and I are avid fans of The Office. It's from the very lest episode, Casino Night. "Why are you the way that you are? Honestly, every time I try to do something fun, or exciting, you...make it not that way. I hate, so much, about the things that you choose to be."

Abby and I have decided that we miss the characters as if they were really our friends. Abby also prefaces many of our conversations with, "question..."

I feel like I'm not part of the same family....I don't recognize a single quote. What happened to me? I used to be in the loop.

Chris and I can't ask a question without prefacing it "question?".

Is there going to be an answer key that follows this post?

Here are my family's faves. A hint follows each. And there will be a quiz later.

"Is this corn handshucked?" (Think Dr. Marvin; Dr. Leo Marvin.)

"No touchy" (Cartoon)

"Don't talk about me like I'm not here." (said while crying and making an awful face.)

"I think were going to be okay here, m & m's have a thin candy shell; I'm surprised you didn't know that." (The classic road trip movie, think fat guy in a little coat.)

Oh my goodness, you are a kindred spirit. Those have all been used numerous times in my fam as well. "Hm, surprised ya didn't know that" has been a recent fave. And What About Bob has been in the family for years. We also like to say, "pelvic discomfort, fingernail sensitivity..." That is a true classic. And the "don't talk about me like I'm not here" is truly some of Julia's best work, big hair and all.

How 'bout "Oh my sweet 8 lb. 5 oz. 21 inches long baby...thanks for my hot wife..." (Think Will Ferrell "Talla...something Nights".
You are on a Scrooged kick...
