Is it too late for Clark and I to decide that we want to be ranchers? This woman makes it look so lovely. But it means I'm going to need to be a better cook, get some decent boots, teach my 8 year old how to drive a truck and get a dog. Oh, and Clark might need to get a book about cattle...and the part about the homeschooling I could do without. But the photography, the amazing kitchen and the beautiful hair? Yes, please.
PS Here is my plug. If you don't have her cook book, get it. It is so Delicious with a big, fat, capital D. And if you don't want to do that, get a wonderful mother in law that will get it for you because she knows how badly you wanted it. And then, just for good measure, cook her white chicken enchiladas and stuffed mushrooms, right this very minute.

I love her site...I have been wanting her cookbook for a while. You will have to tell me what other favorites you have. Maybe I will get it one of these days. I love her photography too!
I loved reading the cookbook as much as I love cooking from it! I've had many successes, but I failed to convert my children to grits. Sorry to let you down, pioneerwoman!
I love so many of her recipes but they fail to be anything near healthy and since we can not all be a skinny minny despite no exercise like you my dear, I have to refrain for using her recipes too often :)
I read her every day and report to Joe as if she were my friend or something. I'd love to be a rancher's wife too for the same reason!

I just can't read her. I've tried. I am, going to check out her cookbook, per your recommendation (although I think you might have to actually be able to cook to make the recipes work).

Are you related to PKO by any chance? He has been trying to move me to the farm for years now! It looks good in theory, but I just don't know about the manure, the flies, and the smell! The recipes sound great, though.
I want to be the PW when I grow up! I need to find some "wit" somewhere first...oh, and learn how to use my camera. I got the cookbook for Christmas from my sis-in-law, who went to the PW's book signing in UT. She is married to my little brother, who is named Ladd. When the PW revealed that Marlboro Man's name was Ladd, my sis-in-law jumped up and shouted, "That's my husband, too!" Too funny!

Her cookbook was my favorite Christmas present. Though I don't pleasure read dictionaries, apparently I do read cookbooks for pleasure. Read it cover to cover -like a book. My parents living on a ranch and all, it's a much more relaxing life living it via Pioneer blog and pictures. The real thing...I'm too lazy.
you like the cookbook, huh? I like how she does steps with pictures, but i read the title of a bunch of recipes and didn't get excited.
